Decided to jump down the triple triad rabbit hole. Cleared all the ARR ones aside from 1 or two, and most of the heavensward ones.

Theyre adding that feature at a later date, but currently no. It's supposed to come fairly soon iirc.

Not yet, it is a feature they are planning but due to congestion issues I think it may be delayed. Supposedly it is to come next main patch cycle

Pick the data center in your time zone/with people who speak your language. It's not something to fret about. You have multiple worlds within the data centers with different communities

Owned a house since Heavensward's release but just not getting into decoration. Pretty neat little time sink especially since I've been leveling my crafters and gatherers.

Like others have said, you can't really screw up data center selection. Just pick one near you (I'm assuming you're in North America, so you'd pick between Aether, Crystal and Primal) and you should be fine

I mildly disagree. If you want to clear Ultimate content absolutely stay away from Crystal, it has the lowest skilled players by far.

Finally started storm blood last night, but I can't decide if I want to main paladin or war and it's driving me nuts.

If I only I could combine the two somehow...

If its any consolation PLD is the worst tank right now. Lowest damage and have 1 less cooldown than other tanks.

Yeah and that's what making me indecisive. In terms of fantasy paladin is one of my faves, but war does feel better, and the fantasy there is still pretty good.

I mean your just a dude hanging out with your bros trying to get as swole as possible.

Got my omega mount yesterday and I love it. Still need the other two from SB raids.

Yeah and if I'm being honest I'm an unga bunga kinda guy. Think I'm leaning towards war, especially since I can always level up pld later and leveling tanks is fun and easy.

As someone who started Paladin and got to around lv55-ish... I'd say go with Warrior lol.

LOL I'm actually 63 on my paladin, I enjoy it well enough but it doesn't have fell cleave and tbqh I'm not crazy about the class story, while the war story is silly fun.

I think I'm going to go with the Gilgamesh world seems like it would be a good choice

I am surprised the queue is still so long almost two months after the expansion came out.

If I can't log in before 4 PM my time. Then I dont bother. Can't be asked to sit in a 2000+ long queue.

Be careful with that one, it has the most toxic tryhards of the game.

Gladiator upgrades to Paladin at level 30, and you need Shadowbringers for Viera and Hrothgar.

If it won't let you create a character, it means the server is full. If you keep selecting and backing out, you'll probably get in eventually.

I had to spend a half hour doing just that to start a character on Leviathan.

For some reason, the games has Classes for the ARR content. Each of them upgrades to a Job at level 30 and a certain degree of progress through the main story.

Gladiator > Paladin
Lancer > Dragoon
Thaumaurge > Black Mage
Conjuror > White Mage
Pugilist > Monk
Rogue > Ninja
Archer > Bard
Arcanist > Scholar and Summoner

The expansion jobs don't have that restriction.

I think they restrict new players from creating characters on certain high population worlds.

My mistaken. I just went off memory of the November release date.

Thanks guys, Final Fantasy 4 was my first RPG ever and Kain was my favorite character so I think I will go with Lancer to get to dragoon

Lancer is a good choice. You get to start in my favorite City-State

Yeah, Lancer is what I went with.

Being a Dragoon also gives you some extra lore that helps for when you get the main story to Heavensward. So it's a win/win.

Gilgamesh is the most populated server on Aether, gonna be tough to get into. Maybe dead hours. And you will have long login queues during primetime, at least as it is now.

Yeah I wouldn't recommend it at all unless you're planning on doing raids as soon as possible. I've basically only ever heard good things about siren for what it's worth.

I'm on Siren. Even for someone like me who never really got involved with others, I thought it was pretty cozy.
