Kojima didn't even want to make metal gear solid 2. He's made it pretty clear that his ideal working environment is one where he creates something and then moves on to something else, so I doubt he sits around writing fanfiction for his old properties.

With MGS he seems like a relapsing alcoholic though. Like he comes back to it because he wants to. He wants to stop but he also doesn't. That's what it seems like to me.
