Yes.

Have you at least played Bayonetta?

Yeah. Devil May Cry is a great series. Two isn't as good but is still fun enough to at least try. It all depends if you like hack and slash games that can offer good combos, gameplay, charterers and story and yes I enjoy the lore.

DmC is better than DMC2

It's just got a different flow to the combat

How's the HD Collection? Worth picking up on PS4?

I haven't played the ps4 version but, if its anything like the Xbox version, I'd say yes. Try to grab the version with 1-4 if you can.

If you have a Switch I think that might be the best place to play 3 atleast, it was updated to have features from 4/5 where you have all weapons at once and switch styles at anytime instead of at Stores. I know that may not make sense to you but trust me, it's the superior way to play.

Meh Its mostly just eye porn type of game. mindless combos for more points. I played them, would I play them again? No.

3 has maybe the coolest choreographed cutscenes in any game

And I'm not a big fan of the franchise but you gotta respect how much the games value player expression. Bayonetta was a logical progression cause enemies are less like obstacles and more like stripper poles

It is. However I did enjoy playing as Lucia. Sadly she hasn't been part of the franchise since.

Yeah 3, 4 and 5 are all way better.
The only games 1 is better than are 2 and DmC.

It's 2021 and we've gotten a mainline sequel, it's time to accept that DmC is good.

DmC was trash.

But the mainline series is really good. Never played DMC2 though.

it was okay at best, it had solid gameplay but the story, setting, chracters and everything else that isn't gameplay pretty much, make me want to vomit. It felt like a game aimed at angsty teens.

As opposed to the mainline series that's aimed at the sophisticated adult right? With its too cool for school white haired trenchcoat protagonist, scantily clad big chested badass females that go from bad to good, over the top action cutscene sequences, and uninvested plots that barely exist so the gameplay has a reason to exist.

Guess that sounds like Shakespeare compared to young adult punk aesthetic protagonists fighting a shadow organization in a dystopian society.

I'll say it again, the year is 2021, it's time to get over it.

I'd say DMC3 is the best one.. but I haven't played 5 or the spin off

DmC hasn't got a mainline sequel thankfully. Besides Ninja Theory have moved on to Hellblade.
