Whats going on for real? Omicron just that much more contagious? More people getting tested? People going out in public more means more exposure? Its the worst Ive ever seen it personally

Same here. It is more contagious but I've also noticed some smart people basically being careless and dumb

My sister was a close contact with a woman in a car - the woman's husband tested positive, then a few days after the car ride she tested positive. So my sister spent three hours in a testing line today, probab getting the results in a few days.

I think she's got it, and what's especially fucked up is that she works in nursing and takes care of vulnerable people. She also lives with her wife and her wife's brother who has a significant disability, so they're also at risk.

I saw my uncle last weekend, and his stepdaughter caught COVID at the preschool she works at.

Yes. Omicron is ridiculously contagious. One thing in particular is that people tend to become infectious much more quickly than with earlier variants, so the spread occurs much sooner too.

A lot of my extended daily have fallen into the GOP content algorithms, so a ton of them got COVID. Only one of them (a cousin of my dad) has been hospitalized so far.
