The neighborhood I live in probably nothing.

Median home in San Diego county is $825k so something slightly above average.

The most expensive house for sale on Zillow in my town is $1.2M, just shy of 4k sqft, 4br, and on 9 acres. It's in the rural fringes of an area that's pretty country to begin with, otherwise $1M would really not go that far, even here.

Nothing in my particular neighborhood significantly exceeds $500k, 3k sqft, 4br, and/or a quarter acre.

In my neighborhood there is a 1900 sqft , 3 bedroom house listed for a million. Its on a 2,000 sqft lot... lol

Around 6,000 sq ft and an acre or two.

I live in a pretty crappy city.....one of the wrost even so houses near 200k are a rarity. But most range from 4-6 beds, and 2 baths. 1700-2000sqft.

A shack

I live in a more rural area where the only thing in that price range is a plot of 100 acres of farm land/woods. About 45 minutes away there's a nice 2500 sqft house sitting on 60 acres with a private pond, and enormous pole barn set up for horse stables. Looks like it could easily be turned into a nice garage/workshop if you're not into horses.

Also about 45 minutes away is a nice looking Mcmansion, 6,000 sqft, 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 3 car garage, pool, etc. on 6 acres

That's grossly exaggerated. For maybe half of that you can a nice cardboard box behind the Popeye's.

A million will get you a two boxes stapled together.

Closest to that price is 9 beds, 7 baths on about 3 acres.
