I watched the first six episodes of Asteroid in Love. It's been awhile since I watched anything, so it was nice! It definitely isn't one of the slice-of-life greats like Yuru Camp, but I'm having enjoying the character interactions as they learn about rocks and stars.

I too need more Mandalorian D&D in my life. Dumb harem elements aside (and the "LOOK AT US DOING D&D" writing," I loved how dark and gritty the show was.

Yeah, Kotaro Lives Alone was great. Not sure it'd be up Robazoid's alley, since it has sad parts too, but it might be.

I just love how determined Goblin Slayer is. Hes devoting his life to ridding the world of goblins.

Ranking of Kings is one of the best anime I've seen in years. Super fun but also heartfelt and engaging. Just finished up yesterday, can't recommend it enough.

Simplest way I can describe it is Game of Throneslike by way of a Tezuka manga.

Quick, watch this if you haven't already. Fun, slice-of-life, comic misunderstandings, friendship, awkwardness, etc.

Just finished Fena: Pirate Princess. Glad to see the character designer from Samurai Champloo at the helm. Music by Yuki Kajiura [NOIR, Xenosaga, had a hand in everything you've ever loved probably https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=3914 ] It was a fun little 12 episodes. Adventures, chosen one, swashbuckling, strong ladies, seafaring, twins, etc. Hot people being attractive.

Wait a minute Yuki Kajiura did the music for Fena? How did I not know this? Already been on the fence with this series for a long time so guess I'm watching it when I get home.

I've been interested in Fena, but there's a lot of waves that have been made about it having one of the most disappointing endings in anime history, so I've been weary.

To be fair, the 'plot' was not very heavy to begin with nor is it a masterpiece. It's one of those non-endings, I guess?

I don't care too much about plot or endings, as long as I learn a little bit more about the characters on my journey, I'm happy. I know that puts me in a minority.

Fena is absolute garbage and has one of the worst endings ever. Would highly recommend against watching it, personally. Watching it for the characters feels like a weird choice, since it generally focuses on the weakest characters and Fena herself gets abysmal character development.

i was looking over my list of anime watched (putting together my top 50/100 list) and there were a bunch i barely remember anything about. were these any good (i have watched all of these at one point)? also i might have watched these when i was first starting to watch anime and didn't have clear reference points.

Zankyou no Terror - i remember this getting points from me and being on my top 100 for years, big part because of the Sigur Ros reference which sounds hilarious now. i'm pretty sure i was pretty interested in the beginning and then it had a huge dropoff.

Sakurasou Pet - i'm leaning more towards this being bad. the characters seem to get a lot more annoying in retrospect.

Cross Ange - ok i definitely remember this being bad but also hilarious.

Hataraku Maou-sama - i always saw this in recommendation posts and whatnot back then for some reason and it seems kind of average in retrospect. i do remember liking this a lot but it was also like one of the first 10 anime i watched.

Yamada and the Seven Witches - don't remember anything except kissing exchanging powers or memories or something.

Tokyo Ghoul - this one's bigger than the other stuff here but i'm actually curious about how this turned out because i watched the first season, thought it was okay and just stopped watching. but it was absolutely carried by this meat eating scene and i have a tendency to remember the whole thing as better than it was because of a couple minor moments.

Digimon - lol. but really. should i even attempt to rewatch this? i've rewatched a fair bit of Yugioh and Pokemon since i was a kid and i still like them but it's very nostalgia-fueled.

Tokyo Ghoul anime after season 1 is an embarrassment. Read the manga.

Tokyo Ghoul started awesome, season 2 went away from the manga but still had cool scenes, and then they did a new season that was supposed to be like a continuation but also more faithful to the manga and nothing happened.

Zankyou no Terror - Great visuals/sound/directing but I thought the plot was an absolute mess. Overall I thought it was pretty bad. General opinions were pretty mixed. Lots of people say the show was amazing but lots also say something similar to what my thoughts were.

Pet Girl of Sakurasou - Overall I liked this. Some parts were overly melodramatic (not in a good way), but overall I think it was a pretty fun and solid romantic comedy/drama. I remember really liking the art style also. All that said, I do think this one is a show I might like less if I watched it now. As for general consensus I think specifically romcom fans usually thought this was good but not great, and it was pretty much ignored by everyone else

Hataraku Maou-Sama - I didn't like pretty much everything about this, but the general consensus was that it was one of the better comedy shows.

(Haven't seen the others)

Ruby looks the best of the RWBY mains. Theres a new Key anime for Summer (Prima Doll) and S4 of DanMachi as well.

I mostly just want to watch something fun

Asteroid in Love
-I didn't really think this was that good. It's just VERY low effort in bringing its characters to life. It has a more "recent" trend of moe shows explaining things (this time astronomy and geology) but it's just so dull when they do it.

Seton Academy
-This one was not that popular but I really enjoyed it. It's dumb for sure, but it has an extremely fun cast and the anime REALLY plays to their traits. The male lead is basically a tsundere as he "hates" all animals. Ranka is probably a top 5 girl from that year.

Both of these aired in Winter 2020, which was a very strong season for anime.

I finished Asteroid in Love. It was a pretty standard slice-of-life club show, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The fun part is seeing how it interprets the usual situations (going to a beach, going to a bathhouse, going on a summer camp...) through the lens of its chosen topic. Asteroid in Love felt very earnest in its love of astronomy and other science, so I enjoyed it on that front. Mira and Ao had a good relationship too.
