29 y/o James Grant, who was arrested for the January 6 Insurrection and was out on bail reportedly attempted a SUICIDE BY COP after he was found drunk at a Denny's parking lot begging officers to kill him because his life was over!!

His car also had an assault rifle and ammo according to police

The North Carolina man parked outside Denny's at 4380 Fayeteville shortly after 5pm on Dec 7 when 5-0 got a call on a possible suicide attempt

Grant yelled at officers "just kill me or shoot me. my life is over anyway" before attempting to flee

Cops quickly caught up with him and found out he has a criminal history and tok him to Wake Med Centre for a mental evaluation

He was charged with a DUI and being in possiession of an assault rifle with hundreds of rounds of ammunition and weapon accessories

In 2018 he was convicted with tampering with a vehicle and was sentenced to 30 days in the slammer and 12 months probation

Prosecutors are attempting to revoke his bail now arguing his freedom is a danger to the community

Records show he is not in custody at this moment as he is one of 720 people charged for the participation in the capitol riots where he was charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon.
