Pretty much every song on the album is a fucking banger.

I guess the weakest songs might be Jet Pilot and X? But even then they're not bad songs, I just find myself listening to them a bit less than everything else.

Prison Song might be one of the strongest opening songs of an album ever. Like, god damn, right out of the gate, it gets right up in your face and sets the tone for the entire album.

Needles, Deer Dance, Shimmy, Science, Forest, Psycho, ATWA, all dope.

Obviously Chop Suey.

Bounce, Toxicity, and Aerials are personal favorite of mine.

And then closing out with Arto, an Armenian funeral hymn.

Fuck, I love this fucking album.

Their entire discography is fucking killer. My favorite System song isn't even on this album (Holy Mountains). But fuck, Toxicity is just something else.

Eh, Jet Pilot seems like it just exists as mockery. Still a tight album.

I think you're thinking of Steal This Album! (Which is actually also a better album than it gets credit for).

Its very good and the best SOaD album

was one of my favorite albums as a kid and it holds up way better than nearly everything else from its era

but also its a bummer how it basically remains the pinnacle of modern radio rock and the genre has stagnated ever since

It's a pretty solid album.

Eh, kinda. After my "music taste is really important" phase, I could enjoy Backstreet Boys again, but in limited doses, because it is the musical equivalent of corn syrup.

Only album of them I've heard, but I love it. I'm a super casual when it comes to music, and I rarely ever got more than one album of a handful of bands throughout my life. Probably why I'm so weird.

Their twin albums Mezmerise and Hypnotize are also fantastic, although not quite as excellent as Toxicity.

Their other 2 albums, System of a Down (Self-Titled) and Steal This Album! both have some great songs on them, but are overall a lot more hit or miss than the other 3 albums.

Shit, if you're interested in checking them out more,I can give you a list of what I consider to be their best songs in their discography. They have some great content.

Those 2 songs we randomly got last year were super exciting, but they've already said that it's not indicative of them making any more full albums.

Steal This Album! has one of my favorite tracks of all time (Mr. Jack), and it had a lot of good songs in general, but I feel like it's not quite as consistent as Toxicity IMO

Bounce is so much fun tho.

And also I feel like Chop Suey only gets hate cause it is/was overplayed. It's a good song. People just got sick of it I think.

i listened to them a lot in high school and found almost every other album they did more interesting. The others have really bad lyric writing like toxicity does but they also mostly have way more interesting song structure

Really though i dont know the last time I went out of my way to listen to soad though. I kind of grew out of them

Bounce, yes, its just about that lucky asshole having an orgy with just him and a ton of women. Like yeah most men will never attain that :(

Ehhh naw.

The way my muscial taste works is I find music a like, I listen to it a ton, get tired of it and occasionally come back to it after a break (somestimes this can be as long as a year or two). However SOAD is one of those artists which when I come back to, I'm like "Wow these guys are really great".

Haven't listened in at least 10 years, but that was always their best. Love ATWA

I feel like Steal This Album! Has some of their highest highs, but also some of their lowest lows (which still isn't that low. Which is part of what makes their discography so impressive). It has some absolute greats on it like Mr. Jack, Fuck The System, Roulette, Ego Brain. But some of their others like Boom! And A.D.D come off as kinda forgettable to me, idk.

I'd rank them Toxicity > Mezmerize > Hypnotize > Steal This Album > Self Titled, personally.

I honestly don't dig their first album all that much; I love Spiders, and Suite Pee is solid, but Sugar is their most overrated song IMO.

That said, they have like, 4 and a half albums of great content out of 5 albums in my opinion, And that's very impressive.
