I go to work and to doctors appointments and shit. I order my groceries online. Keep it to strictly necessary travel only

Damn, thats crazy lol. I mean we got our shots and mask up. But weve travelled on planes to other states, go to bars, concerts.

I feel I'm immune. Fully based and booster. Work keeps placing me with the covid patients and in real bad about washing my hands often and I touch my face alot. (Actually scracthed my eye after handling a covid patients belonging recently) and yet I'm fine.

I know I could just be asymptomatic but you'd think id eventually get it with symptoms considering I seem to be the go to guy to stick in a room with a bunch of positives for 12 hours a night every night.

Yeah I wear my mask but we don't get breaks so that mask has to come off for eating and drinking.

This is how viruses work.

They spread, we create a vaccine to fight it. It mutates, spreading faster, but doing less damage.

We create a new vaccine, it mutates again, getting weaker and weaker each time until it gets to the point that you don't even know you have it.

Same with the measles, mumps, polio, and chickenpox vaccines.

At one time or another, you probably were infected with all of those ailments for all four of them (or are old enough to have actually gotten chicken pox). The difference is, the vaccines for those are so advanced, it's gotten to to the point that you were symptom free when you got it.

We're just not at that stage (yet) with Covid. Combined with that fact that there are people still refusing to get the vaccine, were still probable a decade away from the vaccines and boosters working as well as all the vaccines we consider "normal".
