Do you got time off for the holidays.

I have off on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Normally I have more time off for Christmas but I had to use it all earlier in the year due to some family emergencies. >_>

Sucks. Hope things are better now.

Friday off next week and the following Monday. Thursday half day and Friday the week after. Decent bonus and lunch Thursday next week. I could always go for more days off but workload doesn't permit more than what was offered. I'll take it.

My vacation time don't reset after new years. It resets on my hire date. One thing I dislike about my job.

I still have like 3 weeks of vacation time that will be lost but California doesn't allow use it or lose it plans so I just get paid out those hours.

Even if I took the next 2 weeks off the company is going into a "soft close" which basically means no meetings or new projects until Jan 10.

Hell ya my 2 week break starts in 42 minutes!

We always get Christmas Eve/Day and New Year's Eve/Day, but when they fall on a weekend we get a "floating holiday" to use earlier in the week. So I'll take next Wednesday off (my daughter's birthday anyway so yay it works out well) and have Friday off next week and the following. Haven't decided when I'll take my other one that last week.

I used to basically *always* take the entire week between Christmas and New Year's off but since having a kid I end up having to take random days off to take her to an appointment or stay home with her when she's sick so don't want to burn too much time without having a good reason.

If I made better money I would probably be inclined to take more time off/be given more days off. Keeping up with mortgage and 2 car payments, I sort of backed myself into this corner. Luckily 1st car will be paid off by February so that'll be one less thing to warrant working every opportunity that presents itself.

I work Mon-Thurs this week and then I'm off for the next 10 days.

Had another 10 day vacation a couple weeks ago too.

Hi. Yes, I'm a high school English teacher.
But I was never in the military. I was an EMT for five years though before I became a teacher.

Eh, I was going to school to become a doctor. After five years in EMS I decided I didn't want to do medicine. So I changed my degree to English. And here I am today.

Christmas is Saturday this year, so we're getting Monday off in lieu of it. Why not Friday? Oh well. Probably only working half a day on Friday anyways. *shrugs*
