but then every episode after I was like

Id say my least favorite change was viciouss altered character. Not that I didnt like him, I just preferred him in the anime. Everything else I was a huge fan of. Some things I even.. liked more than the anime

Im not sad it didnt get a second season, I thought it was fine how it was, but Id have been happy if it had gotten one more.

Time for the boo box.

The only thing I disliked about it was Edwards introduction, even though it was pretty much how she was introduced in both the anime and the manga. It was goofy then and it's goofy now but somehow it was less endearing in live action then when it was in print or animated.

I sloughed it off at the time because I thought they would have a whole new season to translate it to the screen properly, but then...

My bet is a netflix executive saw what they had planned for Edward on the storyboards for season two and killed it right then and there.

Edward was always going to be the hardest of the crew to translate to the screen but I never thought they would go in that direction. Decisions were made.

Probably more just a case that the only reason Netflix bothers to fund original series at all is to spur new subscriptions, and the reaction online was so negative that they decided the show was never going to lead to an appreciable increase in subscriptions (especially after the first season, where you might get at least some views from people looking to see a car wreck) so they just cut their losses early.

No matter how good it could have been it would have still have been slated because its 'not as good as the anime'

For what? Edward had nothing bad in the anime itself.

The no bones limb waving like what they attempted in that final scene of the live action. Edward was constantly dancing about and it was fine for the anime, but the way netflix tried to to translate it on screen just doesn't work in live action.

I had hoped that a second season would take on viewer feedback and they would not try to emulate the exaggerated anime movements, but moot point now.

It would be like if they made another live action Dragon Ball and had Master Roshi shooting jets of blood out his nose every time he saw a pretty girl.
