Very good game, though it does have a fairly linear progression--which isn't a bad thing, in my opinion, but if you're used to entries like WW or BotW it's a lot more restrictive in terms of where you go and when you gain access.

Edit: I'd say OOT is still the best 3D, but TP is second best easily. The story goes a long way toward making it a memorable experience.

it's a good 3d Zelda game. It's aged of course, more so then skyward sword. It will also always be compared to oot the most.

Well made, well polished game, but boring as hell and too easy

It has its issues, but I think it is easily the most underrated game in the series. Probably in part because it was easily the most over-hyped game in the entire Zelda series before its launch. The only game I can think of that easily received more hype was probably Cyberpunk 2077.

Also, the Yeti Mansion is one of the best dungeons in the series. They had a weird idea for a dungeon, but somehow managed to make it work.

Its solid in the Wii U remake imo. Just too long, really. And it comes off generic in a lot of ways since it is very obviously emulating OOTbut lacking in the charm category.

Back in the day, its claim to fame was its graphics. But it can be hard to remember since they didnt age well.

It's got good puzzles, and a very strong aesthetic. Plus, the unique approach of helping the yeti make soup for his wife is a nice shake-up of the usual dungeon formula.

It's not though. If you want tough you have to use a Ganon amiibo Everytime you start the game up to make it tougher

Also I think hero mode is only in the Wii u version

It's probably the worst 3d zelda I've played. The dungeons almost all suck, the items are all missed opportunities with few uses outside where you find them, the overworld somehow manages to feel more empty than WW, and the art style is really weird though that's more a matter of taste.

The only redeeming quality is Midna's story and characterization which is probably the best they've ever done for any character in the series, but they try their hardest to fuck that plot up too during the last couple hours or so of game

Meh. Boring, bland, predictable.

I found Wind Waker way better even with the mind numblingly boring triforce quest towards the end. At least that was just a part of the game, TP feels dull in its entirety.

I played the original and it wasn't very good in my opinion. The story was pretty good up until jumping the shark in the last act.

Combat was shallow and piss easy. You learn a few new moves but all of them are useless aside from 1. Most of your items are useless. And the horse is useless due to wolf form and warping. And the world looked and felt to grim and dark.
