I remember there was a user on the final fantasy boards who had an insane obsession with I think it was Final Fantasy 12 and he'd edit the articles about subjects relating to it over and over in ways that were false or inappropriate for wikipedia, and they'd end up banning his IP, but he'd create maybe hundreds of new accounts to try and get around his ban, including using public networks like starbucks and I think the London subway.

Idk, Wikipedia is a pretty great resource, and it sort of relies on those weird obsessive robot-people to keep things up to date.

Wikipedia has literally millions of editors, as well as scripting to extend edits across related articles. It's not just one dude sitting there, waiting for someone to die so they can edit the article.

I don't remember. I think his username was Galv, but that was an old one. I heard about him ont he FF12 Zodiac Age PS4 board, so you might find some trace of him there. He was the supposed author of something called the "Zodiac Braves Theory" which was a crock of shit that supposed to explain the hidden story within the Ivalice games, which he never made public but just went on and on about being shocking and revealing once he was ready to make it known. He posted on that board about the theory pretending to be a different person. At some point some person linked to a wikipedia editor page where they detailed the timeline of his attempted edits and bans. Dunno if any of it exists. If you must find it, I'd use "theory" as a search term on the board and wish you good luck.
