ep 4 is the first "holy shit" episode, and if you don't love it by 8 you probably won't. the early S1 episodes are buildup. they're important, but they can feel kinda slow. it's ok. trust.

She's the PC in the upcoming Telltale game.

I watched all of season 1 and didnt get into it. I guess I just dont like those space crew adventure type shows like this or Star Trek

Like 3 episodes. Basically (I don't remember specific episodes from S1) but for the first few I think each episode you watch will pull you in more and you will like more, until like the midseason where you should be invested.

The pilot makes it seem like it's going to be a dumber show than it is.

Watched the whole show earlier this year its pretty average.

The special effects and sets are great though the story just seems like a slog every season though it takes forever for the build up to pay off and it's not really exciting when it does. Not really a must watch imo.

And it's nothing like game of thrones that was an assumption that made me force myself to finish it and I didn't see the comparison at all.

also, (moderate book/show pacing spoilers, no plot) they don't finish adapting book 1 until the middle of season 2. S1 ends well, but the real payoff comes a bit later. book 2 is similar, it finishes in the middle of S3. not a problem watching after the fact, just be aware that the "season" designations in the show don't mean as much as most other shows.

While I intend to continue with The Expanse, I skimmed free content on the various platforms and decided it is time I learned something of the Borgia's. I had no clue that they were Spanish and that 2 of them were popes.
