mech dragon 12/08/21 4:04:00 PM #1:	I put therapy in quotes because therapy is meant to be healing, but conversion 'therapy' is harmful. Conversion Therapy practice and promotion is now illegal. This is now Canadian law. "Government Bill C-4 makes providing, promoting or advertising conversion therapy a criminal offence, among other things. It will also be an offence to profit from the provision of conversion therapy. The bill provides a definition of conversion therapy, which includes a practice, treatment or service designed to change a person's sexual orientation to heterosexual, or to change a person's gender identity to cisgender." Many people already know this but in case you don't, churches (but not only churches) have been profiting from these so called "therapy" scam sessions where they take members of the LGBTQ community, put them through mental health and self-esteem damaging exercises in the name of God or Jesus or whatever. This has been happening not just in rural bible-belt communities but urban centers as well.
