Topic.

Hi I've been working 2 jobs for 5 years now and I've hit my limit.

I make a good amount at my full-time job
Saved close to a 100k
No debt
And was planning on buying a property but I can't stand working here anymore so I may not qualify for a property after.

Now should I quit now or wait till January? I'll get paid a great paycheck from both jobs over the holidays but I don't really need it. Or should I tough out the next 3 weeks and quit then.

I'm really forcing myself to make it through this month but I just hate this job now. Not sure if this last paycheck is worth it though.

If the majority says yes I'm giving my 2 weeks notice today.

So you're asking everyone if you should work an extra week.

Go ahead and make some money, then quit the other job. You never know when you might need a little extra money. And make sure to slack off on the part-time job, but not enough to get fired.

Just tell them you're done at the end of the year. Christmas is like 2 weeks away anyway, giving a 2 week notice doesn't help you that much.

I'd leave earlier than in 2 weeks though I just want to leave them in a bad spot.

I work with one other co worker who's been driving me crazy being lazy and waiting for me to work which is absolutely killing me and they won't fire him.

Leaving now would expose him cause he leans on me to help him and I'm already exhausted working 80 hours a week.

If that happens to me. I just quit on the spot. No look back.

The full story of why I want to leave my job is because I can't stand my co worker. It's a 2 person job working in a warehouse for furniture. This hey was hired 2 years ago and still hasn't learned to work independently. He comes in late everyday dosnt care about the job and gives me more work to do which is annoying. He's 21 also btw, caught him spitting on floor and when I asked him not to he spat on the ground infront of me saying he dosnt give a shit.

I can't stand to be around him and the management hasn't got the balls to fire him cause they're desperate and incompetent. I've reached my limit with this kid and just want to leave the job.

So it's basically just your coworker and not the job itself? I wonder if you could give them an option, either fire them or you're leaving kind of deal

You could always inform your supervisor of his behavior and suggest if this is the environment you have to work in, you'll be giving a notice. If they keep him on, you have an easy decision to make.

If your not in a financial bad spot and already have another main job? I would just quit immediately. If they ask then Something came up. You dont owe them an explanation. Then again they probably wont ask.

If you have almost 100k saved up, it doesn't seem like you really need that extra check enough to ruin your holidays.
You could also just keep showing up and do what that coworker does - nothing. If he can get by for years like that, why can't you? If they make a stink about it, quit.

That's exactly what I'm going to do.

Either I get transferred
Get a raise
Or fire him

I'm ok financially either way I just want them to see the disaster this guy will be when I'm gone.
