According to a New York Police Department spokesperson, a 49-year-old homeless man named Craig Tamanaha was charged Wednesday morning at 12:23 a.m. for arson, criminal trespassing, criminal tampering, criminal mischief, endangering others, disorderly conduct and reckless endangerment. At 12:14 a.m., he was spotted by Fox News Channel security guards climbing the Christmas tree outside their office on the corner of West 48th Street and Sixth Avenue in Midtown.
Probably just a loon who climbed the tree and fucked up the lighting.
Never should have closed all the insane asylums.

Well at LEAST we know it wasn't done because of political reasons, just by a dumbass. But no doubt this will probably be spinned about getting rid of homeless people or something.

They let him go without bail. Insane.

New York is strange with their law enforcement. If they even THINK you are cheating them out of taxes, they throw the book at you, and you better not be Black. Eric Garner got killed by the police after they thought he was buying illegal loose cigarettes.

And then you have crazy homeless people who cause $500,000 worth of damage and they label it a misdemeanor. You get a wink and a nod and a reminder to "show up at court next year". Yeah right.
