The one closest to where you grew up or the one you went to the most.

Silver Dollar City for me. It doesn't have a lot of big rides, but the ones it has are damn good, and the theming is second-to-none.

busch gardens williamsburg, the "worlds most beautiful theme-park" 31 years running.

it looks nice but the rides are kind of crap. its claim to fame beyond stupid awards is that fabio got his nose broken on one of the coasters, bird hit him in the face.

Adventure Dome. It's in the Circus Circus casino. It was cool as a kid, and some of the rides hold up last time I went (2019ish) but it's not really worth going to if you've been to literally any other theme park.

Six Flags in St.Louis was the closest to where I grew up. Went there several times. Not a big fan of roller coasters or ferris wheels but the log ride and the Time Tunnel were cool.

No never did, I don't know if it was around then. I was going back in the mid 80s. Either way never did the landing.

Six Flags St. Louis, and still is. Shame that we're on the low end of the totem pole. Last new roller coaster (i.e. not relocated) was in 2008, a solid small GCI woodie. We got a relocated Boomerang in 2013. No roller coasters since then, and nothing in the future so far.

I went to Six Flags St. Louis once in high school. Mr. Freeze was pretty cool, Ninja beat the fuck out of me, and I nearly fucking died on the Superman tower because I didn't fasten my harness all the way.

I guess it must have been around 2009 or 2010, because I remember American Thunder was still called Evel Knievel when I was there.

Disneyland and Knotts berry farm are like the same distance.

six flags magic mountain is another hour up from them.

depending on classification though the SD Zoo or Seaworld would beat them since both are 10 minutes away.

edit: universal studio is the same distance I think and technically lego land is closer than the first three, though Ive never been there and wouldnt count it.

we got a ton here apparently.

Rainbow's End

Probably the only significant theme park in New Zealand. While it's nowhere near as impressive as other theme parks in the world, the log flume and minecart rides are quite charming. Last I remember there was also go-karting and mini-golf there.

Los Angeles, so we have 4 theme parks that are all roughly an hour away: Universal Studios Hollywood, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland.

If I had to guess, I'd say I've been to Six Flags the most. Definitely been to Disneyland the least. They're the most expensive and they're always crowded.

The county fair that happens for a week in August. It has carnival included. And only 4 miles from where I grew up!

Otherwise, the nearest amusement park was Kennywood.

My home isn't in a city. I live in one now but it's not home.

Disneyland. However, I only have been once since 2010 as I have moved out of state.

The nearest to me now is King's Island.

I believe I lived close to Universal Studios once. But I don't go to amusement parks on my own choice so I went exactly once. Some cousins of mine had a family outing and I was invited along and my parents didn't want me being rude and declining. I may have also been to Disneyland when I was very young but I can't remember that.

Valleyfair in Shakopee, MN. Used to have a Berenstain Bears theme in the kiddy parts, but last time I went back they replaced it with Peanuts. Its more appropriate, as Charles Schultz was born in Minnesota (theres tons of Snoopy stuff in Minneapolis if you just walk around) and the Mall of America theme park lost the Camp Snoopy branding in favor of Nickelodeon decades ago, but Id be lying if I said it wasnt a hard blow to my nostalgia. Otherwise, its just a regular amusement park.

I've heard a lot about Mt. Olympus. I think I need to experience that brake run on Pegasus at least once at some point.

Action Park is literally the best place on earth. At least it was in it's glory days.

Yeah. I was a kid in its heyday but still remember a lot of it. I was a victim of the alpine slide early on.

Later on I remember people on the Tarzan swing telling the life guard they cant swim as they started to swing from the deck.

One thing I've heard about the Tarzan swing was that the water was so cold it sent you into shock when you hit it
