No details about where she was found or her boyfriend, Joey Smith but police say she was NOT in any danger and is not a victim of any relationship abuse after she flew from Indiana to California to be with her 25 y/o homeless boyfriend.. Just days ago, her mother Cheryl Walker penned a FB begging people to help find her daughter and said her disappearance was just as important as "Gabby Petito" The mother told TMZ that the Petito family helped her throughout the last couple weeks on giving her advice on how to cope with media attention and the disappearance of her child Police released footage showing then missing Norris with her 25 y/o bf at a 7-11, the day before she disappeared following the frantic call She flew to California on Nov 1 to visit her bf who was on the west coast attending a drug rehab for a heroin addiction Walker said Lachete was going to rough it out upon arriving there and insisted she didnt plan on being homeless but then was told they had arguments because he lied to her. Cheryl says "I heard the picture he painted fo rher over the phone. It's so nice, we'll get a tent and stay on the beach for a few days until he started his new construction job" But the job fell through according to a neighbor and the couple hadn't been seen in public after having another fight where Cheryl got voicemails, texts and calls from both. One morning, she got a call from a stranger's phone from Lateche in a frantic tone and that was the last she heard of her after promising she'd call back but never did. Norris' family filed a missing persons report on November 9 and that same day, they got a text message demanding random from an unknown number that said "If you want to see your daughter again, send me 7000"... They filed a report to the San Diego Police Dept but the FBI reportedly told them it was "fake" as the family said "What's fake to you is real to other people" On Nov. 20 the police said Norris was "at risk" but nothing to prove she is a victim of a crime where family and friends disagreed. Neighbors of Joey said he has a criminal history with arson, vandalism, and drugs but don't believe he could kill her though believe it could be his fault if she was killed. Gabby Petito's father, Joseph later tweeted a missing person flyer urging people to help find her and the mother kept hammering the man who is with her daughter urging people to call police if they spot either of them. This chick ran off with her homeless boyfriend, presumably to do drugs as the articles mention they "struggled with addictions". Gabby's story was as widespread as it was due to a combination of the mysterious circumstances, and the fact that they were by all accounts a normal couple that people can relate to. Not too many people can relate to wanting to go do drugs with your homeless boyfriend in a different state.
