I don't like when a game has a long ass tutorial that's all dialogue and games actually let you learn via doing. Games should really have an option to turn off tutorials or better yet: have a Guidebook item that gives you the rundown and lets you practice as you want.

I'm not a fan of the force tutorials. But it can help in some cases...

The only problem I have with them is they almost never let you repeat them so it's one and done and you're fucked if you accidentally succeed. It's just easier to learn from playing anyway.

Agree 100%.

It literally removes replay value from a game.

I think the problem is games pretty much need tutorials now because they don't have manuals anymore. Or even if they do no one actually spends the time to read them so they don't need a tutorial. I doubt that will ever change.

However there is no excuse for a game not having the option to skip tutorials.
