James and Jennifer were charged for involuntary manslaughter as a judge set their bail to 500K each They were caught less than a day after their lawyers claimed they were on their way to turn themselves in and have not escaped but were in fact planning to escape into Canada as both parents plead not guilty ot all 4 charges of involuntary manslaughter, one for each Oxford High School student kiled which carries 15 years in prison EACH as well as a 7500 fine Their 15 y/o son is already charged with the serious charges as an adult including terrorism Jennifer was noticably distraught and sat hunched over with her face in her hands and James was seen shaking his head in horror and broke down in tears and disagreed with the charges for leaving their gun in a drawer unlocked The DA said the 2 could have stopped it and had every reason to know he was dangerous and yet still bought him a 9mm Gun on BLACK FRIDAY. The defendents legal council denied that were going to flee the country and noted their employment history as they asked to set the bail lower to 50,000 or 100,000. When the announcement of their arrest were made public, the US Marshalls offered a 10K bounty for information leading to their arrest.. A Detroit business owner tipped off police after spotting their vehicle and caught them going inside. The police say they did not break in and were helped by an unnamed accomplice who let them into the building Their lawyers slammed the arrest citing the prosecutors want someone to blame and wanted to make an example ou tof them to send a message but cherry picked specific facts in the case and will fight this in the courtroom. They said the duo had ever intention of turning themselves on and were not on the lam despite the media blitz Police said the duo were both distressed and very upset when they found them hiding out and were not armed.
