OMG....how do you die?

Minor back history. I have never used summons in souls games. I also don't use shields.

This has made some parts difficult, but I never got stuck.

This time though, I went with a dex build (no spells at all) and decided to actually try using summons for kicks and giggles.

Sometimes even 2 summons (when they are offered) at once.

You like....can't freaking die.......It's crazy silly. I killed Gudyn (the ash land guy that you fight the second time) the first time without even using an estus flask lol. I had 2 summons helping me, so it was crazy silly easy.

Ocylot was super easy as well (think I used 2 flasks on him).

Can't beleive I never tried them before, or that people consider the games hard with summons being so powerful.

Yeah, it always seemed weird to me that there's constant discussion around whether or not the souls games should have an easy mode when they already do. Very few encounters pose much of a challenge to multiple players working together and if you happen to summon someone who's played the game countless times they can probably solo everything anyway while you sit in a corner with your shield up.

I haven't summoned other people, just NPCs so far, and sometimes 2 at once, I guess there is even an item that can let you summon 3? I can't even imagine with another person helping you.

It can vary greatly with the NPCs, I never really summon in DS3 but some of the summons in 1 and 2 were so garbage they actively made the game harder due to the bosses increased health pools.

I don't get it either, I can't even formulate a theory.

I have had one of the npcs die so far, not sure if they stay dead for future fights or not. I had the master and some dude with a mace vs grundl just now (think it was a mace) they both survived easily.

I mean most of the people who think the games are too hard are the same kind of people who wouldn't bother looking into how summoning works
