My first new theatre experience is currently set up to be Jackass Forever. I'm not watching the new Matrix until I see the rest of them.

Oh, you. Okay.

They're getting Sam Raimi for Multiverse of Madness. I love Loki. And they're bringing back all of Tobey's stuff for NWH, with the animatronic goblin mask that never got used. Jaimie Foxx is even getting a yellow Electro outfit, and we see Sandman comes back. Venom works into it somewhere. Morbius is en route. There's that new Batman too. I get the impression I will want to see this.

A very large and flat one. I only saw the Fast and Furious movies last year, and the X-Men movies the year before that. Tended to be kind of a snob as a teenager, part of it was because I was poor and couldn't go to the movies that often, but my old friends began to fill the holes in my media literacy the past three years.

I'm interested in the Matrix partially because of the trans lens you can view the first movie through. The other two, I just want to see if they're as bad as people say or if they're perfectly acceptable movies on their own. At which point, I'll probably watch a detailed YouTube video on both the Animatrix and the MMO that's allegedly canonical to the new movie, and then I'll watch this new movie.

That's it for the other one. Im a real supporter of Jordan Peele's breakout career in horror.

The Matrix 4.... Looks very oddly correct. I didnt expect the trailer to look anything like what I wanted (which it does look exactly like my first insticts about the direction of a 4. Thats incredibly rare (incredibly) and a very good sign. For me)

People (some) forget how meta the whole Matrix element got with the rest of Hollywood (and the world for that matter). So, if the execs can kinda bring it back to real Kung Fu & practical camera tricks, while somehow also satisfying my need to have Dark City, a Will Smith vibe, John Wick, and Akira all in one ... Well, what's to complain about?

I get the sense that it is more along the lines of Kill Bill meets Last Samurai than Logan meets MCU. Seems more like Glass than Split. You could take Keanu and tell some little story and squeeze the last bit of life out of The Matrix..... Or, you could try to Ridley Scott that bad boy & give it the spin it needs to leave the hands of the creators (whose whole thing kinda got silently mixed apart, The Wachowskis)

It looks like this is that. Oddly enough ... I think that leads to an ending we can actually all agree upon. I'm willing to bet a movie ticket we have some fun & buy the DvD.
