Modern art & cartoons opens the door for almost anyone to pick up a pencil & lay down the law on some pictures.

But to produce masterpieces that are both legitimatey inspired, instantly recognizable, able to connect with the audience, display a high degree of understanding towards the expectations of the medium, and are produced in a timely manner..... Is indeed a skill that takes decades to hone. Never tell a student that until they're hooked. And if nobody ever taught you how to sign your work, you were never an art student IMO

ANYONE can learn it

We all start at different points but it is a skill/technique and some people have a huge headstart by having natural talent

Every member of my family can draw better then me. Even the next generations. However I have improved to the point where I think I am going to be came a furry artist. (long story about being poor and those people paying a lot for that stuff)

So you can train yourself to became better .

You can learn anything to any level depending on how interested you are in said thing

let's say you lost all your music skills and then got back to it when you're 73, you'd have to get through stepping stones that every student has to get through but your body has already had that practice time you spent earlier in life clocked in and so by the time you get back to that technique you already have a leg up

You can buy drawing books, and watch online videos teaching how to draw. Therefore, it's a skill that can be learned. Obviously it'd be easier with natural talent, but I believe anyone can become good at it with practice.
