In fact I find something kind of slimy about the "undocumented workers" euphemism and the "no human is illegal" slogan. It comes from politicians who are too cowardly to say that immigration simply shouldn't be illegal. They want to sweep that under the rug without actually changing the law.

Is it the illegal part or the alien part that is dehumanizing? Or both? Because legally speaking, people can be called aliens but also not be illegal at the same time.
