Anyway, that tweet is correct. Fast food is awful for people anyway, hopefully they all go out of business and folks learn to eat better.

I've noticed that these days it's mostly old people who work in fast food and retail.

The "pimply-faced teen" stereotype hasn't been accurate since the early 2000s at least

Flipping burgers is supposed to be for the kiddos, retired people, people with no ambition or as a secondary income for saving money or just saving up more for whatever, IE extra money for Christmas. Dont people get tired of trying to say fast food workers should earn a living wage? No, they shouldnt. People need to take responsibly for their damn lives and stop blaming the system.

It's one thing to pay someone chump change to mow lawns or babysit

But if you're a fucking multi-national, billion-dollar corporation you can afford to pay your workers a decent wage, regardless of whether a particular position is "for the kiddos"

Nope.

You're devaluing the act of being a cook in any capacity because of the societal status implications of such a job. Sorry, but working as a fry cook or line cook or prep bitch in a kitchen should pay a living wage. Tehre shouldn't be one route to a professional chef, that being culinary school. You should be able to start at the bottom and work your way up, too, by paying attention and learning. Some celebrity chefs started on the bottom rung and worked their ways up in the 70's and 80's. We can't now because why? Get a degree you scrub? Get the fuck out of here.

the entry level jobs are unpaid internships that employees should be thankful to have in order to get exposure and experience rather than wanting stupid things like money and stability! /s

Here's another one: workers should be satisfied with what they have because if they campaign for higher pay and more benefits, the businesses will shut down and move overseas, and then there won't be any jobs left.

Which is basically just saying "let yourself be exploited, otherwise they'll take your job to somewhere else where they can get away with exploiting their workers even more."
