80/80

It's like a weird mix of Basketball, US Football, Global Football, and Rugby?
https://youtu.be/XMZYZcoAcU0

The huge field with the weird shape, being able to jump on your opponents shoulders at any time, more passing options, and how you have to dripple a weird shaped ball on grass all makes it look more interesting than other sports.

What do you all think? I'm especially interested in opinions of people who are actually into US Football.

I watched some of the Rugby 7s tournament during the Olympics. I thought it was pretty cool.

Did you check out the video I linked?
Which sport do you think is more interesting?

I always found it interesting that team ball sports are the most popular

I'd think simple individual events would be more popular. Who is the strongest? The fastest? The best fighter or cyclist?

Not which group of men can throw a ball into a hoop the most?

I didn't but I don't really watch YouTube that much, unless I need help with something. But I like American Football the most because I grew up with it. That said, if Rugby came on and I had a favorite team, I'd probably watch it.

I'm guessing you like fighting games better than team eSports then?

i've been watching it for a few years now. (i'm a night owl, so finding anything at 4am is awesome) i've been enjoying it a lot, but the start and stop gameplay isn't doing anyone any favors. though, as i understand it, that's a fairly recent development based on a rules change. but i definitely enjoy it more when they aren't just taking marks back and forth.

Is it more start and stop than football/soccer?

They used to show Aussie Rules late on Saturday nights on ESPN. It's really fun stuff, imo, and the highlight videos are great.

basically, if you make a clean pass more than 15 meters downfield, play stops and the defenders have to back off. it only takes a couple seconds (vs the 20-40 in american football), but if things go right, it happens a lot. kick the ball, reset positions. kick the ball, reset positions. teams can play a game with more flow, but they don't have to, and it seems like not is generally preferred strategy, at least until the defense is condensed closer to the sticks and passes get easier to contest.

That does sound disruptive, but still better than football. I might try watching a game.
