People have filed lawsuits against companies before for less than this, I think it would send a message to Rockstar since they lied to customers, gave no info on the Trilogy before releasing it and taking over a week to address the issues then supposedly patching the games.

its basically deceptive advertising right? By calling it a definitive edition youre implying its the best one, but its worse than the originals

anyways the only thing rockstar should do is offer no questions asked full refunds. Even that is not good enough but its a start

I dont understand the boot lickers defending rockstar or saying they deserve props for things like releasing the originals

That's not necessarily true. I'm sure someone might have real ground to sue, but definitive edition does not necessarily mean best edition. Just the definitive, as in clearly intended or defining edition. If the definition is trash, it's trash.

I'm sure there are other legal issues though.

I played San Andreas and yes its as bad as reddit said it is, I was disappointed by how bad it was.

I expected it be like the original instead I was greeted by many bugs and bad character models.

Rockstar was deceptive with the trailer, gave no actual gameplay footage and wasn't upfront about what version we was getting

i doubt you encountered that many serious bugs. i'm playing through it now and have only seen a few weird things like a pedestrian dropping in which is about as jank as it was in 2004

Maybe the wording alone isnt enough but combined with the marketing material (showing old and new footage and presenting the new as better), and the premium price tag, I believe there's a case for deceptive marketing. although ianal

Really though, they don't have a track record for shitting the bed this bad. It's quite the shock since it's their legacy that is not up to snuff.

I have both versions on my Series X and the only reason Im playing San Andreas 2021 is because its on Game Pass.

I could easily go back to the 360 version and felt nothing of value was lost, go figure

This remaster is designed to close out the fiscal year strong and to take advantage of people thirsty for anything new thats GTA, no more no less

Max Payne trilogy got remastered for free recently via Xbox, those are much more worthwhile to go through instead

Lol, I get where you're coming from but how simple do you think game development is? Evens company the size of Rockstar can't mobilise enough resources to fix that pile of crap in a month

Rockstar should hire the modders who are commited on improving the game instead of straight up penalizing them.

they could help them make their games better thus making more revenue but nah, let's sue them instead! smh

i have never had a single issue getting any sort of refunds on Steam for games i didnt care for.
