Are you surprised the movie will end up losing money in the end?

In a shocking twist, Daniel Craig's final James Bond outing, No Time To Die, despite being the highest worldwide gross of the year at 734 MILLION will LOSE more than 100 MILLION!!.

It cost more than 200 million to produce plus more than 75 million to promote but also tens of millions more to postpone during the pandemic that it needed almost 800 million just to break even!!

As a result it's set to lose almost 100 million instead

MGM denies the claim however suggesting unnamed and uninformed sources suggesting the film will lose money are unfounded and said it far exceeded their theatrical expectations in the this time frame and will earn a profit for the studio

The movie was plagued with delays as producers swerved streaming platforms in favour of holding out for a cinema release when it was to be released in 2019

It broke several records but came up short in the United States as Skyfall still is the only bond movie that topped 1 billion worldwide and over 300 million of it at the US box office

Are you surprised the movie will end up losing money?

Even though they lost money on financing, it's still probably just Hollywood accounting.

^ This. In Hollywood, nothing is more profitable then a production that loses money, it's pretty much the plot of The Producers.

It's also how they screw actors and crew out of money, by claiming the production "didn't make a profit" and why contracts now are written so that it's about percentage of sales and not percentage of profits.
