I don't think homeless people have that option

Buddy, you're not actually looking at the big picture.

The entire thing is fake. This whole thing is entirely unverifiable. It can be dismissed on it's face without any additional scrutiny.

So he failed.

He also wasn't honest.

1. He still had his internet and ohone paid for so he could "document" the project.
2. He had his healthcare paid for as they explained at the end of the video.

3. And most important, failure wasn't death. He didn't have to face the anxiety any homeless person does. This was him entertaining himself.

Yep. And even if we put literally every other advantage his prior life gives him, (like the fact he had a safety net, and professional video equipment etc) ...the very concept of his mission gives him another advantage, lol. His whole attention-getting gimmick was "Millionaire to zero back to Millionaire: The Journey".

Any actual homeless guy starting out is...well...just some homeless guy who started a youtube account.

So it sounds like he used prior connections.

Failed video. Networking is what allows most people to become wealthy in the first place.

Okay, I actually watched the entire video:

1) The idea wasn't to say any homeless dude can become a millionaire, it was a more general "You can come back even from a very low point". In which case, him having marketing skill is kinda the point, you can leverage whatever you have. The youtuber covering it made a super misleading video title.
2) He still got super lucky on the first step. He met somebody almost immediately who let him stay in his RV, so he had a place to sleep and shower, and the guy even lent him his car.
3) He did something clever I barely understood with being a couch surfing middleman to get a few hundred bucks, but that just got him a few meals.
4) Then he got a basic telemarketing job, and later on some marketing gig.
5) He then rented a house, and sublet it to enough people that he basically lived there for free. He conveniently met somebody who guaranteed the lease, since he had no credit to get his own housing.
6) Then he started some coffee business while working. The details here were kind of vague.
7) His dad sadly got diagnosed with a terminal illness, so he was kind of forced to quit to spend time with him. His own health apparently was also suffering.

The problem here though is that someone who is legit homeless doesn't have much, if anything, to leverage.

Yes and many people have already pointed out that other people's "low points" don't include a million dollar safety net, access to healthcare, phone and internet access with a social media following, conveniently finding a stranger that's willing to let you stay with them and a high income skillset and years of experience running a successful business.

Okay, so? The point was that you can get back to where you were, not that anyone can get from their low point to millionaire.

The problem is that his experience was not at all relevant to the experience of someone who is genuinely down and out. It's not comparable in the slightest. And thats before you even get into the issues of addiction or mental illness or past trauma.

The idea that this applies to someone who is really homeless, without any kind of security, or support, or prior successes and knowledge to go back to is absurd.
