Walmart+ helped me finally snag an xbox 45 minutes ago

I doubt it but maybe they didn't sell all their inventory and non walmart+ peeps will get a shot once early access ends

I was hoping the chip shortage would be over by now, they said it would be in 4th quarter, i hoped they would becin stock by December, I guess will have to wait until Christmas 2022 or 2023, this sucks

Ratchet and Clank
Demon's Souls
PSN Store which puts Nintendo's eShop to absolute shame
Playing PS4 games but with better load times and maybe overall performance

I'm with all of this except for the psn store. It's still a mess and they constantly change the home screen of it

There's a shortage of semiconductor chips used to make the consoles, so I guess the supply is shit

Due definitely in part to covid, but I cant help but wonder if the fact that very few companies actually have the means to produce them also plays into it

I am hoping I can somehow get an Xbox series X before the Halo Infinite campaign comes out, been trying for a month now with no luck. Might just have to bite the bullet and pay a scalper $950. Should have started way earlier, I had no idea they were still experiencing a shortage after a whole year... this is insanity

Dude could be on a work call and hitting the add to cart button on both the work computer and his smartphone at the same time lmao

Just keep at it TC. You'll get one eventually. If you're on the West Coast, maybe trying for a Target drop might give you better luck. The online orders are pickup only, so you're only competing with people in your area that were also willing to wake up early (they usually go in stock between 4:30 am and 5:00 am pst). The last one happened on this past Friday though, so probably won't see another Target drop for a few weeks.

For me, it's worth getting now, because I never care about the mid gen upgrades (enjoyed the base PS4 all of last gen). The console I get now, is going to carry me through the entire Gen. So there aren't a ton of exclusives yet, but there will be and I'll be ready for them.

They've released maybe three games in the last 12 months that justify owning a PlayStation 5. I have no idea why they decided to release a new console in the middle of a fucking pandemic, when supply shortages are everywhere. The Switch routinely outsells both consoles.

Because the supply chain was set up for them already. If they didnt release it would have been a waste of hundreds of millions of dollars. Maybe billions.

problem would be helped by mid 2022. no guarantee if the problem resolves by the end of next year.
i would think consoles go from extremely rare to rare at some point.

if a system does appear on any site. i would go ahead and buy it even if have to pay them for early access.
