Those look interesting, as do many of the things I have seen you cook. I would love to trade recipes with you, but I am a terrible cook sadly.

Do you have a recipe or smtn

  • Cook 2 rice cooker cups (~1.5 normal cups) calrose rice according to directions. Maybe a tiny bit less water than it says if u are adding vinegar later
  • While rice is cookin, make the filling. Drain a can of tuna. Plop in some kimchi or something crunchy if u want. Mix in enough mayo to lube it up to your ideal consistency
  • Now this is controversial but I like to add about 3 Tbs of sushi vinegar (its just rice vinegar with a little salt and sugar) to the HOT fresh rice. I also added a tiny bit of sesame oil and sesame seeds this time. I heard traditionally u just use plain or salted rice but I think its good this way. Anyway mix it up really good with a paddle
  • Take like uhh 8'x8' or so piece of plastic wrap and plop some rice in the middle. Kind of flatten it and then add a little filling in the center (less than you'd think).
  • Use the plastic wrap to gather it up and seal the rice around the filling. Smash it into a triangle (or whatever) shape the best you can through the plastic wrap
  • Unwrap and put a seaweed strip if u want. If not eating right now, wrap it back up in the plastic so it stays moist
  • These SUCK and dry out in the fridge real bad so if you're not going to eat them within a few hours, u can freeze and then nuke them when u want to eat them and they become nice and fluffy
  • Pls show me if u make them

Cool. I think it'd be a good idea to make a bunch for my brother. He's in and out of the house a lot because of work.
I'm pretty sure I have all the ingredients except rice vinegar.

Yeah go for it!! You definitely don't need the vinegar, you can just salt the rice for a little more flavor, or add furikake if you have it
