Having played RE4 in VR recently and Village I've been playing a lot of RE lately since Halloween lol.

I just had a memory come to me of when a friend and I played RE5 for the first time.

As Chris and Sheva we were fucking LOADED. It was our first play through, we knew about the lore of the games but we went into RE5 totally blind, we had no idea which boss was coming up next, but we were gonna tear them a new asshole. Both of us had magnums equipped and plenty of magnum ammo.

We didn't care if the next boss was Dr. Manhattan or Vegeta. Whoever it was, it was going DOWN.

So it ends up being the fight with Wesker where he gives you ten minutes to fight him. With impeccable team work, I restrain Jill immediately (without even having known you can do that, we were just kicking ass and taking names, we weren't fucking around) and my friend instantly sees the prompt for him to flip Jill down as Sheva and lands it immediately.

As soon as Jill is on the ground, neither of us waste any fucking time and we start unloading both of our Magnums into Jill at the same time. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. This is the BSAA, bitch.

Then all of a sudden she dies and we get a game over. We both look at eachother with great shame and massive failure, then we start laughing because we knew we fucked up bad. We knew it was Jill obviously but we figured after "killing" her as the boss that a cutscene would play where we were victorious or something...

Anyway, epic fail. This was around 2009.

Dead Space 2

Thought I was gonna run into a book room at the end. Nope. just 40 minutes of running from the regenerator trying to find ammo. Tho honestly this is more the game's fault than anything. They tricked me into a survival horror scenario at the end of an action game lol

Very different from the first

Lol, thats funny.

For me it was Super Monkey Ball on the GameCube, the level where you roll down the giant ramp and get flung into the air. Its all about timing opening your wings. I accidentally opened mine right at the top and then got to watch my character slide laboriously, glacially down the ramp for several minutes with a cacophany of my brothers girlfriends hysterical laughter booming around us the entire time, lol.
