I actually really like the Rosalina backstory and found it kind of touching, but I feel I can't score the game too highly for that because it is an optional background detail that isn't very related to the actual story of the game. If I were scoring the storybook on its own, I'd give it a higher rating, but that wouldn't reflect the game as a whole.

Pretty standard Mario stuff, except for the lovely Rosalina story that really elevates it.

One of the two GOAT platformers before Super Mario Odyssey dethroned them.
