The loads of bad reviews have been a turn off and Im pretty sure my pc can handle only the minimum requirements. The only thing is I was planning on getting a bundle for the original games instead since I knew my pc can definitely handle the old games, but then Rockstar announced they would give that for free for purchasers of the definitive edition. So now im thinking whether to just get the definitive. Has anyone here actually enjoyed playing the new editions? I just hear complaints mostly.

No, don't give Rockstar money for shitty work. I bought it, it was alright, graphically didn't make sense, wasn't any sort of improvement over the originals... and then they took the servers offline and I couldn't play it for over a day.

It's sad but Rockstar sank a lot from where they used to be.

Personally, I'm gonna wait until either I hear that patches have majorly fixed them up, or until it's on sale for around $20 - $30 (NZ$). It's a bit of a shame, I was looking forward to playing them and would've been quite willing to pay full price if they weren't, well, this *points to them*

As a PC gamer it was worse than CP (I know that game was terrible on PS4 though) because at least I could play it and enjoy it.

But yeah my biggest gripe with these games is that they put some work into updating the graphics. This had the effect of ruining the ambience of each game (GTA3 is no longer dark and grimy and foggy, Vice City is no longer vibrant and bright and distinctly neon, they're all like... the same brightness factor). Plus you have things like overly reflective cars driving on roads with flat, repetitive plastic-looking textures and crisp clean colors.

I was actually excited just to relive some of the moments from the original games tbh but the lack of respect for customers killed me.

It isn't even worth half of it, yeah they patched it but I guarantee there's still more shit and haven't fixed the character models.
