• Count 5: Attempted first-degree intentional homicide for Grosskreutz. Jury can opt for 2nd degree attempted homicide, 1st degree reckless endangerment, or 2nd degree reckless endangerment.

My prediction...

2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment for McGinniss
1st Degree Reckless Endangerment for Grosskreutz.
1st Degree Reckless Endangerment for Jump Kick Man.

That's at least a decade or more in prison. I think. I don't know. But the jury went 8 hours today and didn't reach a verdict. Someone in that room ain't quitting without some kind of guilty verdict. The easiest compromise is Reckless Endangerment. One count of 1st Degree Reckless is 12.5 years max plus a possible extra 5 for the gun. He faces 2 counts of that plus a 2nd degree reckless.

People talk "hung juries." But the jury isn't going to just throw it all in the trash when an easy compromise is available.

Actually, the longer a jury takes to deliberate, the more likely a person is found not guilty.

This. Also, they might be waiting til Friday so that the city won't be enveloped in protests until the weekend.
