Main antagonist of KH2

He did say back in an interview for either KH2 or Days that the dev team spent a lot of time coming up with the Org names and what they unscrambled into.

So it seems like they did have it all penned down from the start - it's just a matter of when they want to actually reveal it.

So far we know everyone's but Demyx and Luxord. (Ansem, Braig, Dilan, Even, Aeleus, Ienzo, Isa, Lea, ????, ?????, Lauriam, Elrena, Sora, and No.i)

Tbf, all their names should've been revealed in Days, forget KH3. It was a game entirely about the Org and we learned fuck all about any of them.

Who doesn't? I'm not even defending the writing but it's dumb when people say this because literally every author does this.

Making it up as you go along as opposed to what? Yes some people have a better outline at the beginning but eeveyone makes it up as they go along. It's better to just say "their writing is shit."

Yeah, Nomura's admitted he only plans out about 1~2 games ahead at a time, but there's no way around that. It's a serialized franchise that's been going on for 20 years now - a series where a sequel wasn't even guaranteed at the start. No one's going to have everything planned out like that.

That said, it doesn't excuse some really awful writing, but one can only hope that the next arc is more fleshed out in Nomura's head ahead of time so things feel more cohesive from start to finish.

None of the games are about answering questions, only raising new ones. Instead of learning about any Org members or the lesser Nobodies, we just got a new member who was their own unique kind of being that needed justification for never being mentioned and would later need saving. Same with BBS. It's a prequel that doesn't explain any of the events we know happened in the past and instead only complicates the characters and creates new problems for Sora and company to solve in 3. Even 3, which was supposed to wrap up the story, left five hundred plot threads hanging and the hero stranded somewhere even Nomura doesn't know.

Yup. It was kinda fun through 2, but then it just became exhausting. There were so many weird, nonsensical plot threads hanging by 3 that the Disney world stories were more interesting than the main plot despite the fact that most of them were only implied.

Of all the asspullery in KH, I really have no trouble believing Nomura did come up with two different names for the same 13 characters utilizing the same letters + x when he created said characters.

Of course, I don't think anything suggests it. Like, the Ansem reports that name Ansem's six disciples in KH2 is a final mix only thing, I think? So it could be that he didn't, but none the less, it seems like something that doesn't matter as the game does make it clear that that is how the Organization Nobodies' names are constructed, with specific examples in Roxas and Ansem.

I think the six names were in vanilla KH2. I seem to recall reading them in the reports and I never played FM. IIRC, the spelling of Lexaus' somebody didn't use the right vowels or something lol.

Nah, it was in the original. But the English version mistranslated half of them until the HD sets came out a decade later.

I honestly didn't even notice or care too much early on since the games were still -- for the most part -- fun to play or had fun, self-contained stories.

But now they just make gachas (whose stories are predicated on trickle-feeding mysteries for years on end to keep people playing for future updates) and stuff like KH3 which, like you said, spent more time raising questions for the next arc than it did resolving issues from the current arc with satisfying answers. It just makes it annoying to bother keeping up with the lore since everything feels so nebulous.

I dunno if there's any videos of someone just going through the journals, but in the original KH2 the names were spelled: Bleig, Dilin, Even, Eleus, and Ienzo.

This is a damn good point. I liked Days, and was also disappointed by it at the same time. Such potential, such missed opportunity to delve into the other side of the coin, the organization and what they were like. Going on missions with the organization members should have led to some great dialogue and cutscenes and riffing but that would require strong sharp writing and this series has none of that (nor does it need to based on sales)

Axel makes sense as his name cause he fights with fire wheels. No way they thought his name should be Ale first and then happened to have the perfect x for his weapon
