I'm saving for Caledonia but goddamn I just want to blow all of them away. If I didn't pull the archer chick or Tuonel, no doubt all those pulls would be gone by now

Almost there! :D

Resonating memories now or later is up to you, as resonating memories boosts the character's performance and lets you get the last (Ultima) awakening for that character (lv. 80, 5500+ BP, and equipped with 12 6* resonance skills), which passively lets her start with 3 more signal orbs and gives you an icon for your player profile. You'll want to do it at some point but there will be later opportunities to farm these memories if you don't want to do it now. This is the second time an event shop has featured Patton and Heisen, to give an example.

A couple of important things to note about resonance skills on memories:

1. Resonance skills are locked to the character equipped with that memory when you perform the resonance; you can let other characters wear the memories (very helpful) but they won't get the added benefits of the resonance skills.
2. Unlike weapon resonance skills, memory resonance skills are randomly chosen from a pool of 8 skills. There is an optimum choice of skills for the top and bottom slots (character based) but it's way, WAY too serum intensive to go for perfect skills right away, even as a whale. Just aim to get skills on for now to get the Ultima awakening and work on perfecting skills over time. Maybe you'll get lucky and a few of those skills and in their correct resonance slots. FYI: you reroll a resonance skill by feeding it another memory (no limit to # of times you can reroll).
3. When you resonate memories by feeding it duplicates, it doesn't care about memory slot # here, so use any number you want.

After that, it's up to you want to farm. Some of the other characters you have use Patton as endgame memories, so you could work on them if you choose. I'll list out some loadouts you may want to consider, based on what's available in the event shop right now and what you have in your roster:

B Lucia Lotus, S Lee Entropy, A Watanabe Nightblade
2 Darwin (top row) and 4 Patton (bottom row)
(Lee can substitute Cottie for the Darwins for faster ultimates)

A Bianca Zero
4 Patton and 2 Cottie (Cottie on bottom row)

S Bianca Veritas (if you decide to go for her) and A Lucia Dawn
4 Heisen (top row) and 2 Frederick

S Lucia Plume (early farming for the next event)
4 Hanna and 2 Einsteina (top row)

A Kamui Bastion
4 Hanna (top row) and 2 Cottie (bottom row) -- Awakening set and makes him into a Babel parry god
OR
4 Da Vinci and 2 Catherine (bath have the same stat spreads, so put them anywhere you want) -- if you only want him on QTE support duty

How do I finish the weekly missions about clearing Pain Cage or War Zone 12 times for the first time? Since there are only 10 Pain Cage bosses total with their different difficulties. Will more things open up later and Ill just be unable to do those missions until then?

It doesn't count when you re-clear stages you've already beaten? I usually don't have to worry about that, so I'm not going to be much help to you this time. You do get 8 attempts in the Pain Cage on the weekends now and more stage unlocks in War Zone, so maybe try one of the lower difficulty stages (Elite or Knight) again? For War Zone, maybe re-clear stage 3 of a zone? That's all I can really think of.

Other than that, just finish what you can and try again tomorrow when all of the weeklies reset. Once things do reset, I'll be in a position to test some ideas. If anything, you can start the week off doing that War Zone dailies trick I linked to before. When your account level gets to 55+, you'll start getting three bosses instead of two.

Here's what I do during the week:
Monday - All three stages in one zone in War Zone; 4 runs of Pain Cage
Tuesday - same
Wednesday - War Zone is on Recruitment Phase, so nothing today; wrap up Pain Cage runs
Thursday - Complete another War Zone area
Friday - Finish War Zone runs for the week
Saturday & Sunday - break from both; maybe finish up on Saturday if I missed something or felt lazy

On another note, I did learn something interesting about the Nier characters in this game recently. I was somewhat mistaken about their strength relative to the regular physical team. I came across some threads where veteran players were referring to them as "the whale team" but I didn't know why that was the case. It turns out that, while they are stronger than Alpha+Rosetta+Liv (especially when Alpha's bursts are not feasible), they all have to have their signature weapons and be at least SSS to get there (i.e. pulling enough copies for shards). Since the collab eventually gets a rerun, you could split up pulling for duplicates between the two events but you would have to do that anyway to make them worthwhile. If you keep them at S or SS rank, the Alpha team is stronger. Just something to keep in mind for later. At least it doesn't get in the way of simply collecting them, I guess, but it's a little disappointing.

The upside to that, if you can pull off getting the three all decked out, you'll have a second physical-based team that's better for War Zone and for bosses Alpha can't burst down or has poor survivability against. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do when the collaboration hits: just collect and be done or pull lots of copies.

It's about feminism again, and I don't know the whole of it, but seems one of the cosplayers was a prominent feminist? Man, the incel culture in Korea has advanced so far while I was completely away from their atmosphere.

Jesus fuck, I guess it was a tweet the cosplayer made in 2016, and it was about some sexual assault case. I guess in protest, the incellius maximus community harassed her and just about everybody around her along with various death threats and all the standard, and she had to make a long apology hand written to basically tell them to stop. Of course by extension of association, they also want GT to literally die. If I knew wtf the case was about, then I would know who's in the right here, but in any case it sounds extremely toxic from the incel community. Oh, there's a detail on the case in the bottom. I don't understand it all, but the man in question was sentenced to 3 years in prison due to like 4-5 charges, oh ok I think I get it. It's like sexual assault, illegal intercepting of private communicative devices I think, and blackmail/threat/stalking of a woman, and then I guess a total of 30 years including the murder of the woman?

Oh... reading the bottom might be the key to all of this. I guess because the murderer in question has expressed an issue with women ignoring him or insulting him, stabbed a woman he wasn't acquainted with stating this as the cause, so it became extremely political between the incels and feminists... But the guy had a mental problem, and a lot of it was paranoia it seems, so I guess the incels are saying it's unfair to equate them to this guy because they don't necessarily have the same mental problem. Basically this is like a trigger case, and somebody out there has held a grudge ever since she spoke in support of the feminists. What a fucking mess.

The revenue hit only affected Korea which is essentially their lowest market and has been for like half a year at this point.

In China, GT makes more money than Arknights (!) and it's one of the biggest launches in JP region. Global region has been more successful than Korea for a while now.

I don't know what crawled up the Korean community's ass and died but they've been super toxic lately.

The comment section in the cosplayer's apology is just vintage korean net toxicity. All sorts of crazy ass arguments happening there. One guy started calling a guy a spy bastard from North Korea, and suddenly everybody starts calling each other a commie. It's uhh... it's something. That's just one thing. Lot of very colorful languages that I don't fully understand going on, but it's definitely something bad

An exchange that I particularly liked was a comment starting with talking about how she was just as bad as the stalker murderer, and a reply saying you're even worse than the murderer. I think the commie thing started somewhere down the chain of insults. It's honestly kinda pathetic

Yeah, once you hit the level needed for Intermediate Pain Cage, you'll see it next in action cycle/week. If you press the Check Rankings button, it will tell you the level ranges. Advanced Pain Cage is more or less the same as Intermediate, just with a higher difficulty floor. A future update will give us EX Pain Cage and I think that's for account levels 100-120.

War Zone has the same general idea, with higher account level brackets meaning higher difficulty floors.

I'm finally getting around to looking at the new Codex feature. I didn't know everything in the game has at least some lore attached to it. I like little things like that. Gotta collect 'em all!

It's also nice being able to play back the story without the gameplay, especially stuff that isn't normally accessible anymore.

Ugh, I have Rosetta in my Pain Cage this week. I have to learn how to fight her all over again. The lower difficulties will be fine but the upper ones... Wait a minute, isn't there a practice mode for her? I'm pretty sure there is.

I even bought some of those Bulins that cost 4k to get my cores down.

Oh yeah, Ive also been wondering if I should get Bianca Veritas. I do like her, but Im not sure if therell be room. Is Pain Cage the only thing that requires multiple teams? I figure that for PC Ill split up Alpha and 2B, but for general use Ill use Alpha/2B/Rosetta or Liv (I know 2B will be sub-optimal without her Nier buddies, but even I dont want to whale for 3 units lol. Also I dont like that weenie 9S).

You can earn up to 4000 a month. That's the limit. There is no storage limit, so buying the bulins doesn't help. If you open up the tab on the left that displays commissions, skills, lab, and the oil/coin collection, there is a very small grey display beside it that says how many you've earned. I'm not sure if that amount is also displayed in the events tab or elsewhere, but probably.

Yeah, there will be other game modes that demand multiple teams and a wide pool of developed characters. It's not just covering Pain Cage boss weaknesses and War Zone element bonuses. Even just as an attacker, Veritas is simply really solid, especially when you want ranged AoE attacks. Besides, she has that really satisfying finger snap! lol

As a new player, there's a ton of stuff to do and farm for! Isn't that always the case in gacha games? :D

6* equipment (weapons and memories) hard caps at lv45, so there's an objective. You could farm for duplicates to resonate those memories, level up your other Constructs (always a good idea), get equipment for your other Constructs (also a good idea), just plain stock up on shit for later (this event is a good opportunity for that), clear stuff you haven't gotten around to yet, farm character shards in Interlude, etc. What do you want to do?

I did get around to testing some stuff in the Pain Cage in regards to the weeklies. You DO get credit toward your weeklies for dying against a boss and saving the run but, oddly enough, that does not count toward your dailies. Can you repeat cleared stages and have it count by winning or dying again? No. Once you get credited for "clearing" a stage, one way or the other, that's it. The weeklies are worded "1st time clear" for a reason, right? lol

So you can only sort of cheese Pain Cage clears for your weeklies. At least you only need 10 clears and meet the two score thresholds, then you're basically done with that mode for the week. War Zone is the one that needs 12 clears but has lower score thresholds for weeklies.

You mean Path of Stars? That's the roguelite mode I talked about a while ago (called APUS in the last event). I just finished the first map myself.

To answer your question, support points can buy power-ups but are mainly used to buy support characters, which can be used to complete a fight without using up your 8 daily attempts (i.e. free stage clear). The catch is that the three you use disappear after the fight, so deploy them when you really need them.

The good thing is that this mode is 100% optional and I don't see any black card rewards. You can get 6* memory shards from some missions and a lot of materials. Think of it like Ceobe's Fungimist but you actually get stuff from it.

First event for Revived Witch (once extended maintenance is done) so be interesting to see how it actually is.

Main targets to get from this week are the new unit first (for bonus drops) and then anything but the mana, as want to farm that on the second week as works out as good or better than stage 6 if you have the event units that boost your drops. Evidently possible to get everything, with refreshing 3x a day with souls (costs 190 in total) which you should be able to make back or break even depending on how bad/good your luck is on the courtyard where you can send the dolls out on missions.

The new unit this week seems like a side and slight downgrade of Afallen, with next weeks compeller being top notch - even more so for saltstone teams and especially good if you use Ella.

Got Christmas Chika in 30 pulls (twice in the last set of 10, because that always happens to me.) Not sure if I'm going for fully built support or save her for the highly tuned lol CB version.

I pulled XChika as well, but I don't think the esports version is really worth it for casual play. The build needed varies based on the boss, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach for UB spam. Trying that also means CB attempts that take much longer than regular attempts (like 15 to 20 minutes instead of the usual 1.5).

It might be amusing to solo a CB boss in one attempt, but IMO not worth the effort, especially when the CE clan is uncoordinated.

I did to get the bonus unit, but they all drop the currency at the same rate of stamina conversion - just the later ones have extra stuff as well.

Techinically she does both. Illya is too far from XChika to benefit from the TP regen on Chika's second skill though, and her heal and other TP regen need Chika to UB, which may be too late to help Illya much.
