I used to play DnD with mal_fet. He was kinda cool if you ignored the fact that his politics were completely batshit.

Yeah honestly Mal wasn't a bad guy at heart. He just religiously zealously didn't understand nuance at all. Everything was either 100% right or 100% wrong

Great demonstration of this was in a topic complaining about how all video game women are hot and insisting that more ugly and fat women need to be in games

Mal started arguing that games with sexy women sell better and people like looking at sexy characters . Pretty reasoned arguments.

Then someone pointed out that it was unrealistic, citing Lara Croft doing flips and big breasted warrior girls in bikini armors.

And instead of going "Yeah your right , that Is unrealistic but it's fun" or something, Mal went on a weird rant for 10 or so posts about how it is realistic and how all the best female athletes in the world are skinny hotties with huge tits.

Then he "proved " his claim that sexy women are the best fighters and acrobats by posting still images of busty girls doing push ups from Google

And then managed to lose an argument about making women in games fat and ugly on a male dominated video game website

The guy literally could not comprehend "Yeah you're right, that's a valid point. But my view is still stronger because...." he was incapable of it.

You get guys like Admiral and the users who defended and still defend him for years who are just legitimately terrible people

Then you get Mal who really isn't a terrible human being he is just atrociously awful at debating and critical thinking

You could have a causal chat with him about a non controversial subject and he was alright.

I feel a bit bad for him TBH. I think he was on the spectrum (Sincerely. Not an insult)

I didn't get that impression from him at all. I think @JKwaffle was around when we were playing DnD with mal. Honestly those were some good times.

I destroyed him in an argument once and people dogpiled on him after it and he was like "I would super enjoy sticking around to argue but I have to leave now to meet some friends irl to do <some activity> irl this very moment but I will back later to continue this discussion :)" and then, in the words of his buddy UnfairRepresent, he was never seen again.
