27 y/o Victoria Weiss, a South Carolina second grade teacher was Fired and had her teaching license SUSPENDED after she offered students WEED GUMMY BEARS as a reward for GOOD BEHAVIOUR!!

One of the students pulled out a pack of Stony Patch Kids, a THC infused cand that resembles Sour Patch Kids and out of the prize box in her Rocky Creek Elementary Classroom earlier this fall

Her license will stay suspended until due process hearing is held or until this matter is resolved

Police opened an investigation on Sept. 23 after a student asked for help in opening a package of the candy at an after school program

She claimed to have bought a pack of candy from Dollar General to put in the prize box to student to students.

One student chose a normal Dum Dum lollipop while the other walked away more than he asked for

The kid said he got the edibles from her after she told him to pick a different prize after first picking up a pack of Chuckles, a cannabis infused gummy worm and was told the candy was no good

The student did not eat the gummy thankfully

Detectives confirmed she tok the gummies from him and told him to pick something else but the student went back to choose ANOTEHR pack of edibles

An assistant principal went back to her prize bowl and found yet another gummy edibles in there that led to her firing and arrest

They searched her home and found more edibles of which it is illegal in the state of south carolina.

She was charged with a Schedule 1 Drug charge and faces a 5000 fine and up to 2 years in the big house for the misdemeanor

It does, but continuing to let them pick from the bowl after realizing there were edibles in there instead of immediately taking all of them out is quite blatantly negligent. "Offering" mischaracterizes the situation, but I'd say this is still worth firing her over.
