If I don't like blue cheese, is it safe to assume I will not like the other moldy cheeses? I am mostly curious about gorgonzola. I been interested in it every since I first saw it as a kid on Yugioh but my complete distaste of blue cheese has kept me from ever trying it.
Blue cheese is the ONLY food I can not eat, other things I don't like I can still eat, but not that. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

If you dont like blue cheese I think youll probably hate gorgonzola. It has a similar flavor but is saltier and has more of a bite.

According to Completely Cheese:
Common Reactions: The flavor of Gorgonzola is described as "spicy, salty, and piquant." Its texture is said to be "crumbly" and its aroma "strong." Others describe it as "rich, creamy, and delicate." Strong Objections: Some find it "repulsively pungent." "A vile cheese." Summary: Reaction to Gorgonzola varies greatly with personal taste. Those who are not taken with the Blue-Veined cheeses should avoid it. --- Minutus cantorum, minutus balorum, Minutus carborata descendum pantorum. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't understand the love for blue cheese: I enjoy cheese that does not smell like mildew, thank-you very much. But to each their own.

I don't know if it was my mom's tendency to always serve me spoiled food as a kid, but any kind of moldy or "aged" cheese pretty much triggers my "rocket this out of my mouth as soon as it touches my tongue" response.

I like cheese in general, but I don't really like blue cheese myself. I haven't tried every kind of cheese, but I know I like several kinds. I think the best way to find out is to try it.

Blue cheese is one of those things you dont eat straight.
You eat it as blue cheese dip on subs. Also Franks Redhot buffalo dip tastes amazing and that requires blue cheese crumble. My favorite other cheese is any sort of vintage (18 months+) cheddar. Old Croc, an Australian cheese is pretty great. ... Copied to Clipboard!
