anyone here have any recommendations? looking for one that allows a lot of action

Buying one set doesn't really work well unless he already has a friend with a set, you need to buy at least 2 sets (and your son needs friends) to make it worthwhile at all.

Instead, buy him a pass to a lazer tag center near you, since he can just join in with other games that way (if there is one nearby), or buy a few sets so he can play with his friends etc at will.

Alternatively buy the nerf gun sets which are cheaper and you can get multiple guns etc, I find kids enjoy that just as much, no batteries needed, and you can always buy more guns if the group of kids gets larger. It's also better then water guns etc since you can play indoors easier/safer etc (and they don't break as easily).

Also don't get him into paintball anytime soon, it destroys clothes, is expensive, and is more dangerous.

amazon has a set of 4 guns and vests for like $120. thats probably what im going to get. was mainly wondering if there are better brands out there or one someone recommends
