I believe the fear of it is just an excuse to knock down any argument for paying workers more. Practically everything is owned by the rich. Anything you buy is just going into the pockets of the billionaires, and every year the billionaires get richer and richer. Which means that when you give them money THEY ARE NOT SPENDING IT, which means that money is not going back into the economy and is effectively out of circulation. Therefore, no reason for there to be inflation.

This might be hard for you to understand, but nobody gives a fuck about what you think, especially concerning economic issues.

As bad as billionaires are, wouldnt stripping them of their cash give minuscule returns for the majority because how much of a minority they are.

you really have to raise taxes on the lower and middle class too even if not as substantially as on the upper class to make a difference. There is no reason people should be starving.

no because billionaires do not spend money because they do not have to. 40 years of Reaganonics has proven this. Lower and middle class people HAVE to spend money, and almost every last penny of theirs will be put back into the economy unlike the billionaire class. Giving more money to the lower and middle class would make for a more prosperous economy than letting the billionaires horde it all.

Except splitting billionaires money would give us each chump change last I read. You have to tax millionaires, the middle class, and lower class as well. Obviously not all at the same tax rate. It should get progressively higher as income gets higher.

Never seen inflation before?

TC is either horribly uninformed or never had a good birthday party. What do you think the balloons are made of? Inflation. They are made of inflation.

But you can't see inflation. it's invisible

I think we should have deflation! Don't spend your dollars today if they'll be more valuable tomorrow. What could possibly go wrong?

I honestly don't know if this guy is a troll or if he just has a way of accidentally speaking in the most subtly obnoxious way. I can't even explain it but like every time he says something, no matter what, it rubs me the wrong way

Inflation is a result of the total amount of currency in circulation... paying people more doesn't affect it, only printing more money does.

The easiest way to curb inflation is for the guv to decommission some currency every year...

generating new wealth SHOULD reduce inflation but it cant because we have a rigged system that shields the wealthy from taxation

The 1% aren't that bad... I did the math

The 1% starts when people are making about 500k a year... they actually do pay above their fair share in taxes.

The problem is the 1% OF the 1%... , wait... no, they still pay above their fair share too

The problem is the 10~% of the 1% OF the 1%... yes, that's where the the filthy tax dodgers are.

People throw around the concept of the 1% too lightly when it's the 0.001% that aren't paying, and the 0.001% know this so they try to lump themselves in with the hard working 1%'ers when they really don't belong there.

No, but it's a typical talking point.

If you exclude the 0.001% then the rest of the 1% control 24% of the US' wealth and pay 27% of the US' taxes, which is rather progressive.
