$120's for this stupid crap. The fucking university can't even give me an answer why I get a ticket for this crap. The lady on the phone tried to use some shitty excuse like "oh it causes more accidents in the parking lot than parking in". Fucking bullshit. I know from the many people who get into parking lot accidents is because people are backing out and hitting someone they couldn't see clearly. Probably this university's shitty way to earn income.

So yeah I'm bitter about it, but nothing much I can do other than to pay it lol.

See if they have any instruction/manual/safety guide that governs rules of the road and stuff. If they don't mention anything about how you have to park I'd say fuck 'em, fight that shit.

I know a guy who parked here in a totally illegitimate way (there was a row of parking spaces, at the end of that row was like an island-style thing, and he parked on the *other* side of that island). They gave him a ticket, but since there was no "No Parking" sign on the island he took it to court and had them cancel it.

You go forward and backward one time no matter which way you park. Why does it matter which order? Fuck em.

I've seen "pull in only" on a number of parking decks. At least there it makes a bit of sense since the spots are usually angled such that you back out and are already angled to go the one way you're supposed to go, but if the spots aren't angled or there's two way traffic allowed then yeah it's dumb.

When I was in college, I parked in a spot the one time and didn't really have to use my car much or pass by it all that much, so it just sat for a while. Walked to it one day and found two parking tickets on it, and noticed they had put in a "reserved parking" sign in front of my car (the cement/construction mess was still fresh enough to notice it was recent). So rather than notify me that I was now in a reserved parking spot and I needed to move, they just started giving me tickets. Took it to the office, told the lady it was a load of crap, she initially thought I was just trying to get out of paying the ticket, turns and asks in an eye-rolling tone of voice whether some new reserved parking sign was just put in, someone calls out that yes it was and she just goes like oh, ok, never mind the tickets then, you're good.

I got a ticket for doing the same thing at the library part of it. Too bad for them I had already graduated and said fuck you. Still unpaid to this day lmao

Their excuse was they couldn't see the tag indicating whether I was a student or not

Yeah, unfortunately I found it at the entrance sign. I'll still pay it, but I have no idea why it's deserving of a citation.

Most common "legitimate" reason people give is that parking enforcement cant see the plates in places where only rear plates are required.

Oh, that sucks then. It's not a law in my state, but privately owned lots can make their own rules that they can enforce. I was going to say fight it, but if there's a sign, then they'll likely uphold that citation.

I got a parking ticket at my hospital because I parked in visitors parking. My license plate ended in RN.....they thought I worked there. Idiots.

I mean I wouldn't do that if I saw it. There were some small bullet points under the sign on what not to do, and parking face out was one of them. $120's is not a big deal and it's not going on my permanent records or anything, but you know that $120 could've gotten to something else like paying my rent lol.
