Yeah, but if we are giving the vaccine to 300+million people, doing one small extra thing makes a difference.

It's probably like 1 in 10k people or fewer that accidentally get it in their blood stream, but multiply that by 300+million people and that's still 30k people who might have adverse reactions we could easily prevent.

And 30k less talking points towards people against the COVID vaccine saying it has safety risks.

It's a common sense thing that doesn't hurt, which is why we should be for it. Acknowledging it is pro-vaccine because it suggests that the vaccines when administered correctly are even more safe.

It is about proper vaccine administration.

When DarkRoast refused to cosign the most common sense things like proper vaccine administration, the topic of discussion did migrate to what kind of psychology drives a person to betray public health in the interest of tribalism.

But like I said plenty of times, I would prefer and did kinda expect when making this topic that DarkRoast would read the OP and go "yeah, that makes sense" and then we'd be done.

tbh it should be clear from the exchanges between myself, her, and Tyranthraxus that they are not motivated by the truth or by the light. but by tribalism and being hungry for an us-vs-them narrative for some strange reason.

Please leave me alone regarding stuff like this from now on. My mental health is on the verge as it is after the horrible explosion of cases we had this summer, the lack of beds / nurses and mid-levels and the lack of anyone giving a damn. I don't want to think about these things outside of work anymore. It's making me physically ill.

This is what the CID (the first link in the CDC website) actually reported by the end of 2020 however.



Which is, as I've said previously, 1/8, not 1/3. And this is the model that the CDC is using to update their estimated. And it wasn't in 2020. It took us until 2021 to get this far.
