He abandoned her in America and then went alone back to Europe and sent fake news of his death back to Pocahontas meanwhile the entire Pocahontas story as depicted in the movie was made up by John Smith in Britain where no one was there to contradict him. It might be the worst of the disney renaissance movies (was one I rewatched all the time as a kid but as an adult I've completely soured on it) however like all of them, it had a great soundtrack. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

People sleep on all of Pocahontas.
