CE is a pretty good cope. Not sure what I'd do without it.

Anime, I seem to not care much about unless it's Gundam at this point

RL friends hate me because I'm still not coupled up.

I'm 30, failed all my career goals. Did... Alright in uni, but not enough to go further. Addiction problems. Women aren't usually interested in me for very long.

None of these things necessarily make someone a failure, I just feel like I failed myself.

The best way to cope is to stop over analyzing your failures, and keep believibg in yourself.

I know how you feel. I lost a job recently and in one of the worst ways possible. It's easy to have imposter syndrome from trauma like that. Where you doubt you have the skills necessary (you do) due to trauma from bad experiences and people, and you keep over analyzing situations which dies nothing but make you think the worst case scenario and gives you more anxiety.

Stop that. You're selling yourself short. Believe in yourself and learn from your mistakes. Make a schedule to complete tasks everyday to keep you disciplined and productive. You are worth it. Even if you think nobody sees your worth, that doesn't mean you are worthless You actually do bring value to this world. Whether it's to family, friends or fir the betterment of this world.

Reassuring, but I still have no feats... Except for an unimpressive degree I guess.

Even if that's true from a career perspective in terms of skilled labor skills, that didn't mean you can't learn them. To the contrary. You can. consider going back to school and getting a 4 year degree if you haven't already, cause it will open up a lot of jobs for you. Decide what major you want to go with. A field you want to work in that you think you can be passionate about in bettering society with a good salary. STEM or business related is a good path to success.

or a vocational school too even.

Its also entirely up to you to change it.

You are in your 30s. You still have loads of time to change the course you are on. In a year or two or five, do you want to be thinking the same things or in the same place? Every day we make decisions in what we do and how we live and you are in control of that. It won't come instantly and isn't easy but you can do small things that will make an impact on your life over time.

Have some long term realistic goals -- one, five, twenty years. What would you consider success? Think about what you can do to achieve that and then work on shorter term goals needed to get there. What are you going to do by xmas? What are you going to do this month? this week? today?

Its not easy but you can improve your situation.

I HAD long and short term goals. They all failed. I'm not about to try any of that shit a second time just because it's theoretically possible.

My doctor told me to focus on "middle outcomes" which is just depressing.

Failures don't do that shit by definition. How can you miss the whole point to such a high degree?

Anyway this topic should probably die. I might just be fishing for (you)s at this point

Nah it was no more a waste of time than posting in any other topic. Maybe I just got told a bunch of stuff I already am familiar with. Sometimes people fish for advice in the hopes of hearing something they have yet to hear

You dont have things because you didnt do them - not because youre a failure, theres a huge difference

I think you know that too which is a damn shame considering the body + mind equation that leads you to success (whatever that may be) wont change unless you just accept stuff like that tidbit up there

Or I guess you could find success like that, but itll be much harder than it should be and its like why make it that way? Everyone is taking a breather, why not you?

I think I want to be a failure or think of myself as one, to avoid failing even more.
