The only people who complain about gatekeeping are people the gate was supposed to keep out. We shouldn't have to make everything inclusive and appeal to the lowest common denominator. Posers and casuals ruin communities a lot more than the "gatekeepers".

Depends. Like if you're saying "you're not a real Zelda fan because you haven't played these particular games", man stfu and let people enjoy the franchise on their own terms. They'll enjoy the seri s the more they get to experience it, and if they're digging what little they've experienced now they might dig some of the other stuff later. There's no wrong way to be a fan.

But if we're talking about shit like NAMBLA and MAPs trying to piggyback off of queer acceptance movements to normalise pedophilia - close that fucking gate, lock it behind you and swallow the key. Don't let your shit get hijacked by bad faith actors.
