No. the whole point of marriage is to merge family trees and govern inheritance. as same sex relationships end the person's branch on the family tree, and they can never have legitimate children, there's no point

I always believed marriage is between a man and a woman. It says in the bible that we should not love a man how we love a woman as well. Marriage itself is more a religious ceremony adopted into western culture, as such, I believe we should stick to the scripture and only allow men and woman to get married. HOWEVER, I do believe that same sex couples should have some kind of legal contract like marriage(I believe they call it a civil union) that allows them the same rights as married individuals. There is no reason for a gay man to be on his death bed and his husband cannot come to see him because he is not blood related and the state does not recognize their relationship status, that is not right.

Your mistake is that anyone can raise a child, and just being able to birth a child isn't really what constitutes a family
