Well, more specifically, the VN is actually in two parts, and I read part 2 first. Hoo boy. I wasn't expecting an overarching Persona-esque ~~God is a machine and also evil~~ plot. So the main girl of part 2 is a saint/priestess who's set to be wedded off to some appointed man in order to conceive a holy child that will annihilate the coming demon army, blah blah. For "reasons", her body becomes immortal and she can give birth in a day, and this repeats until she finally gives birth to the prophesized child. The plot starts as you'd expect of a sex romp. Demon lord invades the wedding, stuff happens, priestess gets humiliated and kidnapped. Then it turns out there's five other demon lords, and they formed an alliance in order to impregnate/weaponize the priestess' holy child in order to rebel against their masters and enemies. Each demon lord has varying fetishes and/or measures of cruelty (plot twist: the slime turns out to be a mostly-wholesome guy who just wants a cute daughter, even if he himself reeks and has otaku fetishes; while the orc is a proud fatherly military leader and surprisingly the most gentlemanly of the group). But the last demon lord is where the plot gets JRPG territory. I'll check out part 1 another time, I guess. The connection to part 2, from what I saw in what I assume is the true end of part 2, is that ~~they're parallel universes but still slaves to the same "god"~~, does intrigue me enough to see if there's any connection there as well, but I'm not expecting too much. I don't believe I've talked about the latter one yet here, but it got an OVA a few years ago. It's a retro HRPG along the lines of Sweet Home about a guy whose dad (who's also a professor) goes missing in a haunted house and Necronomicon shit happens. You pick two out of five characters to make your party while the other three go off to explore a separate wing of the house. Each character has their own unique ability, phobias, and scenes. Yes, even the guys. You can turn that off in the options though. Kippei can carry six items instead of three (actually pretty useful), Seijirou can light up dark areas with a lighter and is the only person able to use cigarettes to recover (mostly useless, but picking him is required to go to the East Wing instead of the West Wing), Mia can heal poison/paralysis/injury status effects (semi-useful so you don't have to carry individual remedies for each type), Yachika can pick locks that don't require a special key (decently useful), and Rikana can translate the in-game text lores you come across (good for a first playthrough, probably less useful later). I actually happened to post a list of a few of my favorites on Discord the other day, so I'll go ahead and dig that up... Sphilia's Familiar https://i.imgur.com/biNdQOA.jpg -My personal favorite, since it hits almost all my sweet spots for magical girl corruption. Though I didn't touch most of the optional NTR content. The only hard fights are the bosses, enemies come in two flavors: the non-h ones that you can run over and instakill for easy exp, and the h-ones like the traditional slimes/goblins/orcs. Gran Ende II https://i.imgur.com/u12pPJS.png -Only the second game, which is also the only one with a male protagonist. The games are standalone with each other, so you don't need to play the first. Cute dark elf loli main heroine, good trio of side characters. Psychic Guardian Sailor Splendor -BF game on Steam (under the name Super Splendor). See also: Magical Girl Noble Rose and Exorcist Charlotte from the same circle. They're all magical girl-esque protagonists that get subjected to capture and... well, you can fill in the rest. Magical Valkyrie Lyristia -Have you noticed a pattern yet with these magical girl games being the best RPGmaker games? See also: Magical Fighting Princess Frostea, the prequel game that did major updates to the first game. Not translated yet. Escape from Fortress Lugohm -See also: Magician of the Olecta Desert, and Adousta (?) of the Sea, the second and third games in the series. They're all basically Metal Gear with a cute thief girl, infiltrating a fort of rogue soldiers, a bandit cave, and a pirate cove respectively. The protagonist Aisha can't fight well normally, so you need to have her use stealth and/or seduction to progress through the map. Getting captured or losing will have things get a lot less consensual. The second and third games also have playable bad ends where Aisha is forced to become a slave for the bandits/pirates. Firefighters took care of the place quick, at least. At any rate, backing up stuff that I've spent tens of hours or more like Dungeon Town saves are my highest priority, but saves obviously take up next to no space, so that's not the real issue for me.
